Guardians of the Canopies
Made as an educational film for Lyfta, this immersive storyworld invites students to explore life in rural Assam, India, through interactive 360-degree spaces, rich media, and documentary storytelling. The film follows conservationist Mohit as he protects endangered hoolock gibbons in his own backyard, offering learners a glimpse into local farming and everyday life alongside India’s only ape species. Through this experience, students gain insight into conservation and everyday village life in Northeast India, aligning with Lyfta’s mission to lift learners out of their everyday surroundings and offer transformative encounters with diverse cultures, places, and lived human experiences from around the world.
